While not always true in the rest of life, as it relates to fly fishing the motto “smaller is better” is often the ticket to landing some big, big trout. As temperatures are dropping in most of the US we focused on a few smaller flies for our monthly trout box that will help put some finicky fish on your line. Two of our favorites that have already produced for our members are the Birchill’s Hatching Midge and the #22 Pino BWO. We’ve heard the Dover’s Peach bugger pattern has also received some trout lovin’!
