Our January vice night was awesome and we are having another one on Wednesday, February 28 at Postfly HQ in Newbury MA!
The same deal as last month with instructor-led fly tying with Craig Andree, an instructor with Orvis Fly Fishing. We will be spinning the Puglisi Shad, deadly on bass lakes and equally effective on rivers with hybrid stripers.
This session is for folks with some level of fly tying experience. You don’t have to be a jedi-master, just generally know your way around a vise. We will be hosting beginners-only tying events later in the winter!
The cost is $10 and is limited to 10 participants. All materials will be provided as will cold hops-soda for the over 21 crowd and some light snacks. You are asked to bring your own vise and tools, as well as a spool of brown or black 140 dennier or 3/0 thread.
To reserve your spot, email Robin@postflybox.com and pay at the event. Look forward to seeing you!
Puglisi Shad
This is an effective representation of both the threadfin and gizzard shad. Enrico Puglisi’s Shad fly is a lifelike take on an important forage species for freshwater predators everywhere. Deadly on bass lakes and equally effective on rivers with hybrid stripers. The techniques you will learn can equally be applied to create any saltwater baitfish species. It all is a function of color and your trimming of the materials
