Thank You, Internet: Shaku Hunter

This week’s short film comes fresh off of the island nation of Japan, focused on Japan’s native trout, the Yamame (or cherry trout). The title of the film refers to the usual size of the trout. Shaku is a unit of measure that comes out to around a foot in length. Found in small mountain streams, not unlike the Brook Trout, these fish don’t get to giant sizes, but rock some of the most spectacular colorations found in trout species! This film has some serious vibes, and by the end, you’ll probably be planning your next blue-lining trip, enjoy!
