What’s In the Box: March

Spring has sprung, and if that means one thing it’s fly hatches and warmer weather! No matter where or what you’re fishing for this season, Postfly’s March boxes are ready to get your rod bent on some serious fish. Find out what came in this month’s boxes below and if you haven’t joined The Postfly Tribe yet, click here to sign up.

Trout – East

Trout – West

This month’s trout boxes are all about matching the hatches that have finally arrived. With many hatches on the east coast already kicking off, we packed these with the usual suspects in your area. Whether your tight lining nymphs or tossing dry-dropper rigs this month, there’s something in there for every angler. Have a favorite pattern from a previous box? Warmwater

This month’s warm water selection is a mix of new Kreelex colors and the classic High & Tight streamers. The Kreelex is designed to simply mimic a flashy bait fish in the water column or even just act as a spinnerbait would in the water. For a deadly combo, tie in one of the High & Tight’s behind a Kreelex as an attractor. You’ll be surprised how riled up your warm water fish get!

Saltwater

This month we’ve hooked out salty anglers up with a collection of our favorite early season baitfish flies. As the waters of the Atlantic start to warm, countless baitfish and game fish will begin their annual migrations along the coast. Word on the street is that stripers are already showing up in the Chesapeake and NJ. So tie one of these onto your Tidechaser and get out there, your first fish in the salt of 2019 is waiting!
