What’s in the Box: November 2020

With the holidays looming just over the horizon, our November boxes are here to help you escape the chaos and recharge on the water, chasing your favorite gamefish species. Even though it’s getting chilly across the country, the fly fishing action is heating up. Bass are putting on their feed bags as they fatten up on baitfish before their winter nap, and trout all around are keying in on streamers and nymphs. Whatever you’re chasing on the fly this late fall, our kits are here to keep your spirits high and your lines tight!

Find out what came in this month’s boxes below and if you haven’t joined The Postfly Tribe yet, click here to sign up. For those of you with fear of commitment, we’ve just released our kits WITHOUT subscription here.

Trout – West

This time of year, if you’re not fishing subsurface trout flies, you might need to rethink a few things. Other than the BWO’s and other small mayflies and midges, most of the feeding action is happening below the water’s surface. This month’s trout kits are filled with our favorite patterns for western tailwaters and the freestones back east. Let us know in the comments which of these patterns produces the most fish!

Warm-Water

Postfly Box Warm Water November 2020

November’s warm-water box is all about the baitfish that Esox and bass are feasting on this time of year as they prepare for the long winter ahead of them. As you wade or float through your favorite warm water spots, keep your eyes peeled for busting baitfish and drop one of these bad boys into the chaos, you’ll thank us once you bring that fat bass to the net!

Saltwater

Call us Bubba Gump because this month’s box is packed to the gills with shrimp. These critters make up massive portions of nearly every inshore saltwater gamefish’s diet, and few will pass up the opportunity to slurp one up!

Salmon & Steelhead
